Pilgrim Foodservice is an independent, family-run foodservice wholesaler supplying fresh, chilled, frozen, grocery and non-food products to hospitality customers across the UK. We serve customers across 17 counties and pride ourselves on reliability, quality and long-term relationships.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (Category C+E) to join our night operation based in Boston. This role is primarily focused on trunking between our depots, offering consistent work, regular routes and minimal manual handling.

Shift Pattern

• Start times between 22:00 and 01:00
• 8–10 hour shifts
• 5 nights per week (Sunday–Friday rota)
• 40 hours guaranteed

About the Role

As an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will play a key role in keeping our distribution network moving. Most shifts involve straightforward trunking runs between Pilgrim Foodservice depots with limited customer interaction and only occasional unloading.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Driving Class 1 (Category C+E) articulated vehicles safely and professionally
• Completing trunking runs between Pilgrim Foodservice depots
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting defects
• Ensuring compliance with Driver CPC, tachograph and driver hours regulations
• Assisting with unloading at depot when required
• Supporting additional deliveries when needed

What We Are Looking For

• A valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Comfortable working permanent night shifts
• A reliable, safety-conscious and professional approach
• Good communication skills
